Day 1
Fly to Santiago overnight.
Day 2
Welcome to Chile! You will be greeted by our friendly representatives and transferred to Santiago, a fascinating city full of history, impressive architecture and leafy parks.
Day 3
Your guide will meet you today for a tour of the most important parts of Santiago, focusing on the rich history and culture. Tours can be tailored to your specific interests.
Day 4
Day of leisure to explore. Perhaps climb or take a gondola to the summit of San Cristobal Hill for sensational views.
Day 5
Fly to Temuco and collect your hire car for your onward journey. Drive through the lush Lake District scenery to reach the lively town of Pucon.
Day 6
Explore the spectacular scenery in your car today. Visit the sapphire lake, take in powerful waterfalls or wander through alpine-style villages.
Day 7
Continue exploring the stunning surroundings, including the numerous imposing volcanoes in the region.
Day 8
Continue your journey south to Chiloe Island, via the picturesque Petrohue Waterfalls. Take the ferry to Chiloe and continue the drive to Castro.
Day 9
Spend the day exploring the distinctive UNESCO churches and green, rolling countryside of Chiloe.
Day 10
Continue exploring Chiloe, perhaps taking in the sights of laid-back Castro, with its famous houses constructed on stilts.
Day 11
Drive and take the ferry back to the mainland to Puerto Varas. The town has a Bavarian influence and sits right on the shore of the second largest lake in Chile.
Day 12
Explore Puerto Varas and its surroundings.
Day 13
Fly to Punta Arenas to begin your overland journey to the famous spires of Torres del Paine National Park. After the five hour drive you can relax in your lodge, ready to begin exploring the park tomorrow.
Day 14
Explore the Torres del Paine National Park by car. There is so much to see, from vast lakes through to glistening glaciers and mighty waterfalls. There are plenty of walks and hikes allowing you to explore the area on foot.
Day 15
Continue to explore the Torres del Paine National Park. Keep your eyes peeled to spot the abundance of wildlife that roams freely the park.
Day 16
Continue to explore the Torres del Paine National Park. For the adventurous, a full day hike to the base of the three granite peaks is well worth the effort.
Day 17
Drive back to Punta Arenas to drop off your hire car and fly to Santiago. You will be met and transferred into the city for your final night. Perhaps head out to one of Santiago’s restaurants in lively Bellavista or trendy Lastarria.
Day 18
Transfer to Santiago Airport for overnight flight home.

An adventurous itinerary which allows the opportunity to explore the picturesque Lake District of Chile, Chiloe Island and the magnificent Torres del Paine National Park, with its three jagged, ice-carved spires. The trip begins with a few days in a bohemian Santiago neighbourhood to soak up the history and culture of this lively city, with time for a day trip to the wineries or vibrant Val Paraiso. The Lake District is the next stop: fly south to collect your hire car to drive past meadows and snow-capped volcanoes, then through tiny villages until you reach Villarica and Pucon, a mecca for adventurers where you can hike, raft and horse ride to your heart’s content. Continue your journey to Puerto Varas on the shores of the enormous Llanquihue, the second largest lake in Chile. Take the ferry to relaxed Chiloe and spend a few days exploring the distinctive UNESCO churches and rolling countryside. Next, fly to Patagonia to see the sensational landscapes of the Torres del Paine National Park. After four days in the wilderness, fly to Santiago for a final night before returning home.
